Background reports from Northwest Hydraulic Consultants Ltd. (NHC)

The following reports were prepared by a consultant hired by the RDKB to update floodplain mapping for select areas in the Boundary around Christina Lake, rural Grand Forks, Carmi, Beaverdell, Rock Creek and Midway.  These maps were then incorporated into a new floodplain bylaw (Bylaw No. 1844, which replaced the previous floodplain bylaw).

The updated floodplain mapping also identified updated flood construction levels, including wave action along Christina Lake, as well as fluvial hazards along the Kettle River, and alluvial fans.
